Business on-site callout in Leeds
When something stops at work, somebody is sitting there being paid to do nothing, so you want a person who picks up and turns up rather than a ticket in a queue. We come out to your premises across Leeds, sort the everyday things that go wrong, the machines, the wifi, the email and the setup, and quote you a fixed price before we touch anything. There is no contract and no monthly fee. You ring when something is wrong, and we come, often the same day. For running your whole IT on an ongoing basis, servers and serious infrastructure, that is a specialist's job, and we will tell you so honestly rather than pretend otherwise.
- No fix, no fee
- We come to you
- The diagnosis is always free
- A real person who does the work, not a call centre
Does this sound like yours?
The faults we see most
- A machine has gone down and somebody cannot work while the rest of the team covers for them
- The wifi is fine at one end of the premises and useless at the other, so half the team cannot get on
- Email has stopped sending, keeps asking for a password, or is landing in customers' spam
- A new starter begins soon and there is a boxed laptop nobody has set up
- Somebody has left and their files, email and logins are all still tied to them
- The till PC, the card machine or the label printer has stopped talking to the network
- A machine is slow to the point of holding somebody up all day
- A shared folder or drive is showing for some people and not others
- Somebody clicked a link they should not have and you want to know what it touched
- You need a one-off pair of hands on site today, not a monthly contract
Not on the list? Call anyway and describe it. The diagnosis is free either way.
What we do
Name the fault, then the fix, then the price
- You ring and tell us what has stopped and who it is stopping, so we know whether this is a machine down now or a nuisance that can wait, and we can tell you when we can genuinely be with you
- We come to your premises across Leeds, because a work setup is docks, monitors, printers and cabling, and nobody wants to strip a desk down to find out why one machine is slow
- Same day where we can: if it is urgent and we have the room in the day, we will come out today, and if we cannot get to you as fast as you need, we will say so on the phone rather than leave you waiting
- Machines down: we diagnose them on the spot, fix what can be fixed in the visit, and where a part is needed we tell you which and why before anything is ordered
- Wifi that drops or will not reach: we measure where the signal actually goes, and sort the placement, the settings or the kit, rather than guessing. Where the premises genuinely need another access point, you see the cost before it is bought
- Email trouble: we work out whether it is a mailbox, a password, a records problem on your domain, or an outage at your provider, because those are different fixes and knowing which costs you nothing
- New machines and new starters: set up, accounts and email on, printers and shared folders reachable, files carried over from the old machine, ready for their first morning. Book this ahead where you can, because doing it properly is worth more than doing it at eight on the Monday
- Someone leaving: their data off their machine and somewhere the business can still reach it, and their access closed properly
- The honest boundary: this is ad-hoc, on-site help with your devices, wifi, email and setup. If what you actually need is your whole IT run on an ongoing basis, servers looked after, or serious network infrastructure designed and managed, that is specialist managed-IT work, and we will point you towards a provider who does that rather than take it on and do it thinly
- You get a fixed quote before any work starts, on every job. If we cannot fix it, or fixing it is not worth your money, we tell you and you pay nothing
How long it takes
An honest answer, not a booking slot
A machine down is the job we try to sort in the visit, and software faults, email sign-in trouble and setup work usually are. Wifi and network faults are quick to find and quick to fix when the answer is placement or a setting, and slower when the honest answer is that the premises need another access point, which we would quote before buying anything. Hardware waits on the part for that exact model, which can be same day or a few days. Setting up a new machine properly, with the accounts, the printers and the old files carried over, is an unhurried couple of hours rather than a ten-minute job, and is worth doing once rather than twice. We come out same day where the day allows, and we can often work before you open or after you close to keep the disruption off your trading hours.
What it costs
The diagnosis is free, then you get a fixed quote
We do not publish a price list, because a price list for this work would be a fiction: the same fault costs different money on different machines. What we can do is tell you what moves the number, then give you one fixed quote before any work starts. If we cannot fix it, there is nothing to pay.
What drives the price
- How urgent it is and whether it needs same-day attention, versus a job that can be booked for a quieter time
- How many machines or people are affected, because one down machine and six are not the same job
- Whether the fix is software and time, or hardware and a part as well
- The part itself, and what it costs for that exact make and model, since business machines are often built to a spec you cannot swap out of a box
- Whether new kit is genuinely needed, such as another access point for the far end of the premises, which you see and agree before anything is ordered
- Whether the work can be done in one visit or has to be staged around your opening hours so nobody sits idle

Questions
The things people ask
Do we have to sign a contract or pay a monthly fee?
No. There is no contract, no retainer and no subscription. You ring us when something is wrong, we quote that job, and that is the end of it. If nothing goes wrong for months, you do not hear from us and you do not pay us. Plenty of small businesses do not need a managed arrangement, they need somebody who picks up and turns up when something breaks, and that is exactly what this is.
A machine is down and someone cannot work. Can you come today?
Often, yes, and we will give you an honest answer on the phone rather than a promise we might break. We are one technician, not a call centre with a rota, so we will tell you when we can genuinely be with you, and where the day allows we will come out same day. If we cannot get to you as fast as you need, we will say so, and we will often be able to suggest how to keep that person working on something else in the meantime.
Do you look after servers, or run our IT for us on an ongoing basis?
That is where we draw an honest line. What we do is come out and sort the everyday things, the machines, the wifi, the email and the setup, on an ad-hoc basis with no contract. Running your whole IT day to day, looking after servers, or designing and managing serious network infrastructure is specialist managed-IT work, and it deserves a provider set up to do it properly rather than us taking it on thinly. If that is what you need, we will tell you so and point you towards the right kind of specialist, rather than pretend it is us.
Can you set up a new starter's laptop before they begin?
Yes, and it is worth booking ahead. We set the machine up, get their accounts and email on it, connect it to your printers and shared folders, move over anything they need from the machine they are replacing, and leave it ready for them to sit down and work on their first morning. Give us a few days' notice where you can, because doing it properly is worth more than doing it at the last minute on the day they start.
Someone clicked a bad link on a work machine. What do we do now?
Get that machine off the network, leave it switched on, and ring us. Do not carry on working on it and do not start deleting things, because what is on it tells us what happened. We come out, go through it properly, find out what actually ran and what it could reach, and get it clean. Whether it stops at the one machine depends on what it could see from there, and we will be straight with you about that rather than tell you it is fine.
How much does a callout cost?
We do not publish a fixed rate, because a slow laptop and a wifi problem across a whole floor are not the same job, and same-day urgency is different from a booked visit. You get a free diagnosis, then one fixed quote before any work starts, so you decide with the real number in front of you. If we cannot fix it, or it is not worth your money, we tell you and you pay nothing.
Is your work guaranteed after the repair?
Yes. We stand behind the repairs we carry out. If the same fault we fixed returns within a reasonable period as a result of our work, get in touch and we will put it right. That does not cover new or unrelated faults, accidental damage, liquid damage, or problems caused by other work carried out after ours, and nothing in it affects your statutory rights.
