Cookie Policy

TL;DR. This website sets no cookies. No tracking, no advertising, no marketing, and no payment cookies, because there is no online checkout on this site. Our analytics are cookieless: Plausible (EU/Germany) is the only analytics on this site. If we ever add non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent first via a banner. This policy is the UK PECR companion to our Privacy Policy.

1. Who is responsible

Leeds Tech Repair is a trading name of TicketWave HQ Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company no. 17143167. Cookie questions: 0113 460 2103.

2. What cookies are (in plain English)

Cookies are small text files a website (or one of its embedded providers) asks your browser to store on your device. Some are essential, they make a page load or stop someone hijacking your form submission. Others profile what you do online so an advertiser can show you a specific ad. UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, "PECR", read alongside UK GDPR) treats those two categories very differently.

Strictly-necessary cookies do not need your consent. Everything else (analytics, advertising, personalisation, cross-site tracking) does, and the consent has to be active, specific, and as easy to refuse as it is to accept.

3. What we set on this website

As of the last-updated date above, this website sets no cookies of its own. Not for advertising. Not for personalisation. Not for cross-site tracking. We do run cookieless analytics on this site: Plausible (EU/Germany) counts pageviews without cookies or shared identifiers, and does not profile you. It is the only analytics on this site.

There is no online payment or checkout on this site, so no payment-provider cookies are set. If a future page genuinely needs a strictly-necessary cookie (for example a session token to remember a multi-step form), we will list it in the table below before it ships.

4. Cookies set by embedded providers

We do not currently embed any third-party service that sets cookies on this site. If we ever add one (for example an embedded map or a booking widget), it will appear in the table below, with its provider, purpose, lifetime and category, before it ships:

Cookie Provider Purpose Lifetime Category
None at present.

5. Why we do not run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar

For two reasons. First, we do not need it: our own cookieless analytics (Plausible, EU-resident) tell us what we need to run the site, without cookies or profiling. Second, you should not have to accept tracking just to find out how to get your laptop fixed. A local repair business does not need to follow you around the internet, so we do not.

6. How to control cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. aboutcookies.org has step-by-step guides for every major browser. Because this site sets no cookies, everything on it works with cookies blocked.

This site does not currently run any non-essential cookies, so there is nothing for a Global Privacy Control signal to opt out of today. If we ever add non-essential cookies, we will honour a GPC signal as a "no" to anything beyond strictly-necessary, on every page.

7. Changes to this policy

If we ever add a cookie to this site, the table in section 4 changes before the cookie ships, and the "last updated" date above is bumped. Material changes (for example a new analytics cookie) will trigger a consent banner, we will not quietly add tracking. The changelog at the bottom of this page logs every revision.
