Phone repair in Leeds
A phone is the thing you cannot be without for a day, so you want to know what is wrong with it, what the repair costs, and whether the handset is worth the money before you commit. Tell us the make and model and what it is doing, iPhone or Android, and we will find the fault for free, say plainly whether it is worth fixing, and give you one fixed quote before the phone is opened. If we cannot fix it, you pay nothing.
- No fix, no fee
- We come to you
- The diagnosis is always free
- A real person who does the work, not a call centre
Does this sound like yours?
The faults we see most
- The glass is cracked or shattered, or slivers are lifting and catching your thumb as you swipe
- The screen is black but the phone still rings, buzzes or shows a light, so the display has gone rather than the phone
- Touch has stopped working in patches, taps land in the wrong place, or the screen presses itself
- There are lines, blotches, a spreading ink-like stain or bright spots across the display
- The battery falls off a cliff from half to nothing, dies in the cold, or the phone shuts down before the day is out
- The back or the screen is bulging, or the phone has started running hot in your hand
- It only charges if you hold the cable just so, or the port is packed with pocket lint and will not grip the plug
- It will not turn on at all, is stuck on the maker's logo, or loops on and off without ever reaching the home screen
- It went in the sink, the toilet or the rain, or the speaker crackles and callers say they cannot hear you
Not on the list? Call anyway and describe it. The diagnosis is free either way.
What we do
Name the fault, then the fix, then the price
- You tell us the exact handset on the phone, so we turn up with the right screen or part rather than guessing at your door
- We come to you across Leeds, at home, at work or in a cafe over a coffee, because a screen swap does not need a workshop and you should not have to post your phone away and go without it. You can drop it to us instead if that is easier
- Cracked screens are the job we do most: we fit the correct display for your model and test touch, brightness and the front camera and sensors before we hand it back, because a screen that goes in must work as well as the one that came out
- A worn battery is replaced with the correct cell for your handset, and we tell you honestly whether your model is a clean swap or one that is glued and sealed tight, since that is what decides the work
- A port that will not charge is often just packed with lint, and a careful clean brings it back for nothing more than the visit. If the port itself is worn or damaged we tell you that instead of selling you a battery you do not need
- A phone that will not turn on: we work through the charger, the port, the battery and the boot, in that order, because it is far more often one of those than a truly dead board, and we will not write your phone off until we have proved it
- Sound faults, muffled callers and dead speakers usually come down to a blocked mesh, a worn part or spill residue, and we find which before quoting rather than swapping parts and hoping
- Water damage: we get it off power, open it and clean the board before corrosion sets in, then tell you honestly what we can see and what the odds are, because nobody can promise a spilled phone
- You get a fixed quote before any work begins. If the phone cannot be fixed, or the repair costs more than the handset is worth, we say so and you pay nothing
How long it takes
An honest answer, not a booking slot
A screen or a battery is often done inside the visit once the right part is in hand, which is why we ask for the exact model when you call. A charging port that only needs cleaning is usually sorted on the spot. Ports that need replacing, and anything for a less common handset, depend on how quickly the correct part reaches us, which can be a day or a few. Water damage is the one job we will not put a clock on, because the board has to be cleaned and dried properly before it goes near power again. Whichever yours is, you will know when we quote, not afterwards.
What it costs
The diagnosis is free, then you get a fixed quote
We do not publish a price list, because a price list for this work would be a fiction: the same fault costs different money on different machines. What we can do is tell you what moves the number, then give you one fixed quote before any work starts. If we cannot fix it, there is nothing to pay.
What drives the price
- The exact make and model, because a screen for one handset can cost several times what the same repair costs on another
- The type of display your phone uses, since a basic panel and a high-end one are very different parts to buy and to fit
- Whether the fault is a straightforward swap or a phone that is glued and sealed and slow to open without cracking the back glass
- Whether more than one thing has failed, for example a cracked screen that also took out the touch layer or the front camera
- How far a fault has run before we see it, for example a spill left to corrode or a swollen battery left in the phone
- Whether you want your photos and contacts pulled off or backed up while the phone is already open

Questions
The things people ask
How much does it cost to replace a cracked screen?
It depends entirely on your handset, so we will not print a number we would only have to break. A screen for one model can cost several times what the same job costs on another, and some phones use a pricier display than others of the same size. You get a free diagnosis, we confirm the exact part your phone takes, and then you get one fixed quote before the screen is touched. If we cannot fix it, there is nothing to pay.
Do you repair both iPhones and Android phones?
Yes, both. Cracked screens, worn batteries, charging ports, sound faults and phones that will not turn on come in on iPhones and on Android handsets alike, and the approach is the same: name the fault, confirm the right part for your exact model, quote before any work. Tell us the make and model when you call and we will come with the correct part.
My screen is black but the phone still rings. Is it worth fixing?
Usually yes, and it is good news, because a phone that still rings, buzzes or lights up has almost certainly lost its display rather than died. That is one of the most common repairs there is. What decides the cost is your exact model and the type of screen it takes, and we will tell you which when we quote rather than once the job is underway.
My battery drains really fast. Does it need a new one?
Often, but not always, so it is worth checking rather than assuming. A battery that has aged past its useful life is a straightforward replacement on many phones, but the same symptom can come from a background setting, a worn charging port or a fault elsewhere. The diagnosis is free, and if a new battery is genuinely what your phone needs we will fit the correct cell and tell you honestly whether your model is a clean swap or a sealed one.
It only charges when I wiggle the cable. Can that be repaired?
Yes, and it is often cheaper than people fear. The most common cause is a charging port packed with pocket lint, and a careful clean brings it back for the cost of the visit. If the port itself is worn or damaged we will tell you that instead, and what it takes to put right depends on your handset, because on some phones the port is a module and on others it is soldered to the board. You will know which when we quote.
My phone went in water. What should I do right now?
Switch it off, leave it off, do not plug it in to see whether it charges, and do not keep pressing the power button. Rice does nothing. What kills a phone is corrosion, and corrosion spreads while it sits, so the sooner it is opened and cleaned the better the chances. Get it to us or let us collect it. Spills are the one repair nobody can honestly promise, and if we cannot save it you do not pay.
Is your work guaranteed after the repair?
Yes. We stand behind the repairs we carry out. If the same fault we fixed returns within a reasonable period as a result of our work, get in touch and we will put it right. That does not cover new or unrelated faults, accidental damage, liquid damage, or problems caused by other work carried out after ours, and nothing in it affects your statutory rights.
