Trainee technician
No experience required, and taught the way the founder was taught: at a bench, next to senior people, on real faults. You start on diagnosis and build toward the specialisms above, with your development treated as part of the job rather than a favour. JorTech exists because someone took an apprentice seriously, and we intend to keep that going.
The day
What the work actually is.
You start where the founder started: at the bench, next to people who know what they are doing, on real faults rather than exercises. Early weeks are diagnosis: learning to look before touching, to test one thing at a time, to write down what you found and why.
The work grows as you do, toward whichever bench pulls you: field visits, data work, Apple hardware, builds. Professional development here is continual and treated as part of the job, for trainees most of all.

No experience required. What we cannot teach is the part you bring: curiosity about how things fail, care with other people's property, and the honesty to say you do not know yet and then go and find out. If you have fixed your own machine, or a mate's, tell us that story in the application. It counts.

Pay is stated plainly in your first conversation with us, before any interviews. The hiring itself is five steps with nothing hidden: a person reads every application and you get an answer either way, the practical is real faults on a real bench, and if it is a yes, everything we agreed goes in writing before you commit to anything. Professional development is continual and treated as part of the job.
